Radio Station Admits It Deleted ‘Embarrassing’ Statements From Biden Interview

In an interview that was edited at the request of President Joe Biden’s campaign, a Milwaukee radio station acknowledged on Thursday, July 11th, that it did not meet interview standards.

Biden spoke with well-known Wisconsin talk radio personality Earl Ingram after last month’s catastrophic debate on Civic Media with former president Donald Trump. According to a subsequent report, the station followed the Biden campaign’s requests for modifications to the interview.

Radio personalities Earl Ingram of WAUK and Andrea Lawful-Sanders of WURD have come clean about receiving written questions from the Biden White House.

Andrea Lawful-Sanders was “dismissed” on July 3rd.  However, it was reported that she “left” her position after interviewing Biden using questions sent to her by Biden’s campaign, a practice that was forbidden by her station and many others.

Civic Media’s upper management acknowledged on July 4th that they had agreed to Biden’s request for two modifications to his interview.  Biden admitted his mistake in the debate with Trump in an appearance with WAUK’s Earl Ingram, who is from Wisconsin.

The Biden camp requested the removal of this audio from the president’s interview, and here it is.

The expectation that journalistic standards would be upheld, even for non-news programs, is heightened when a prominent figure is interviewed, according to a statement made by Civic Media. Those expectations were not met. According to the statement, Civic Media has reservations about the team’s current decisions about the interview subjects and the audio editing.

According to the news outlet, the station has made its rules clear for commentators and other non-news staff. The message went on to say that Civic Media fully supported Earl Ingram. As a key member, Earl continues to be an essential voice for Wisconsin and Milwaukee. They disagreed with the editing of the interview but stood by Ingram and this team.
