Poll Reveals What Democrats Think of Kamala Harris’ Prospects

Polls conducted days before Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 campaign revealed whether Democrats really want Kamala Harris to become commander-in-chief.

Approximately 6 out of 10 Democrats, according to a survey released on Wednesday, believe that Vice President Harris would perform well if she were president instead of Joe Biden.

Based on the results of a survey by the AP-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, the vast majority of Democrats think that Harris would be an excellent president.

The poll results beg the question: Which Democrat would be the wrong choice for president, according to Democrats?

A little over half of Democrats believe Harris would be an excellent president, while a quarter feel the opposite, and 20% are unsure.

This is in contrast to the 31% of the population that believes Harris would be an excellent president and the 87% of Republicans who believe the opposite.

With Biden’s official withdrawal from the presidential election and Harris’s endorsement to challenge Trump, this once-speculative scenario has become a fact.

It was in the best interests of the country, according to Biden’s statement on Sunday, that he not run for re-election.

Following his poor performance in last month’s debate against Trump, which set in motion a chain reaction of gaffes from which he was unable to recover, the president was met with an ever-increasing demand from inside his party to resign.

In a one-page statement shared on social media, Biden made his historic choice public and pledged to serve until January, when his tenure ends.

But Republicans demanded his immediate resignation, saying he is “not fit to serve” if he is unfit to run.

Although he had planned to run for reelection, he now says he should step down so he can concentrate on finishing out his time as president and what’s best for his party and the nation.

The shocking declaration came as a complete surprise to many, including Biden’s staff and congressional backers, who had been under intense pressure for some time.

Many staffers learned of the decision on social media, along with the general public.

A number of Biden’s supporters took to the media earlier Sunday to state categorically that the president would not be resigning and would instead be running for reelection.

Were they lying, or were they completely out of the loop?

In his resignation letter, Biden promised to address the nation later this week with a more in-depth explanation of his decision. In a brief follow-up message, he reiterated his desire for Harris to take over his campaign.
